I'm keeping in line with my (CNY) resolution to blog more (hey, a one-day streak is better than a no-day streak). I remember visiting my one of my gfs once, and she just came back from a few local vtg stores in her area -- on her short excursion, she purchased two brooches for $30ea, and two chain necklaces, $15ea. That's $90 on accessories blown in an hr. Granted, they were beautiful purchases, but I was never able to accessorize like that. I really like this, plus you have the whole vtg-haute couture-gold thing going on, but given I have a necklace that I've worn since I was 7yo, I never really wear any other necklaces and prob won't ever wear this . . .
A -- 2/5/11: Okay I know I've mentioned this on the blog before, but I must iterate - even the thought of something that close to my neck for more than an instant makes me want to start scratching myself w/my imaginary hives. This is why I can't wear turtlenecks (even the mock kind), short necklaces, or scarves that are wrapped too tight (this actually kind of defeats the purpose of scarves, as I always end up draping them loosely and pulling them AWAY from my neck instead of letting them keep me warm). And I DEFINITELY cannot stand chokers. I mean the name of the item is derived from a most painful form of death. Seriously, why?
