It’s not enough to just walk into a room looking fabulous. Nowadays your outfit has to shout it from the rooftops! The classic black dress is all good and well but when you really want to make a show, opt for something theatrical. Many of the Fall/Winter 2008 collections during New York Fashion Week were filled with high-neck collars, fanciful frills and dreamy chiffon ruffles. Minnie Mouse knew what she was doing. She rocked polka dot dresses before the likes of Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kerry Washington. And now the unlikely style diva has inspired designers, shoe retailers and even jewelry makers. As always, if a trend appeals to you but you’re not sure how to wear it, begin with accessories. Polka dot pumps are a great way to add an unexpected twist to an LBD. Or maybe invest in a clutch? Either way make Minnie proud, her props are long overdue ;)

The 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards aired last night on NBC and here are some of the red carpet arrivals... I didn't even watch the show but from these pictures the event looked very blah, blah, blah. I love Tyra and Eva's dresses and the two couples at the bottom look great, but other then that they weren't many highlights. On another note, is Heidi expecting another baby?... She stays pregnant!

It's all an Illusion!

Eva Longoria - WOW, is all I gotta say! This is a hop, skip, jump and flying leap!
Kelly Rowland - she has great skin, but the leap is still quite big for me!
Beyonce - I actually think they caught her on a not-so-bad day!
Sanaa Lathan - She looks okay, her skin obviously isn't as even without the make-up, but who's is?

Applying make-up is a skill people!! I mean truly, these make-up artists really know their sh*t, because the transformation for some of these stars is astounding! I call it 'The Leap'. Now don't get me wrong, first thing in the morning I can look hella scary too, but if I had access to these 'artists' I can only imagine the mangled traffic i'd leave in my wake! Take my girl Eva Longoria, recently voted Maxim's most beautiful woman, she beat out 99+ women to get the title and then we see her here looking distinctly average! It really makes me wonder what Pat McGrath could do with me (she's an amazing black, make-up artist by the way!) Speak on it!
