It's beautiful. Just received in mail today; pictures don't do justice. Skirt is actually two separate pieces: (1) black slip; and (2) lace overlay, with 6" long delicate/pretty/shiny black beading on one side. Measurements were more or less accurate -- can't wear as high waisted skirt, sits a little lower than planned, hits lower than hoped (below knee), but still a nice shape. And, you were right about being able to wear as tube dress (since I'm flat like a wall). Maintaining skirt as is, sans alterations.
As listing promised, store tags were attached -- guess it was originally at Bryan Lee, which google informs me is a boutique in SB and SF with amazing yelp reviews (does this count as a boutique purchase then? nyex can suck it!). Makes sense, since seller is in SF. Can I mention it's beautiful again?
T, 10/20/10: tks for tip on emailing seller about tears and asking for partial refund! Added this to mental list of "best deals ever," which include: (1) $25 Tod's @Cadillac's; (2) $5 pre-LiLo Ungaro skirt also @Cadillac's; and (3) $5 Burberry scarf @Salvation Army.
Patched holes myself, smaller one was easier to do. Skirt has pills and snags quite easily; funny, because it doesn't look/wasn't (orig) cheap.
