Babycotpod Cascara
The Babycotpod Cascara is steadily making its way to the sales floor. The company has posted photos of the model that it will be selling on its Twitter account. The company is still trying to secure enough funding, but the Cascara is looking good.

Babycotpod Metro Crib
Babycotpod will be releasing another new product when they release their Cascara bassinet. The Metro crib (bassinet in English) will be made of wood, steel, and acrylic. The Metro will be a rocking bassinet that will last you until the baby is about 6 months. I would love to see a non-rocking crib version.
Expect Babycotpod's bassinets to jump off the design board and into the real world sometime next year.

Bloom's Alma Crib

Not everyone has the space for a full-sized crib. Or they need to have a crib for a second location. Bloom has come up with a stylish option. The Alma crib measures just 37x20x33", so it even can be used in a converted walk-in closet. It also can be folded and stored away when not in use. Bloom also has spared parents the trouble of assembly, no tools are needed. And despite its small footprint, it can be used until the child is 2years-old. So skip the bassinet and spend your money on this mini crib.
Available in green or white, the Bloom Alma is $400.

Voyage Bassinet

The Voyage Bassinet by Kenneth Cobonpue has all of the features of his high end rattan furniture. This isn't the stuff you buy at your garden center. The rattan used to make the cradle is hand tied around a steel frame with transparent nylon filament. It comes with a white mattress and pink bedding. And the whole thing can be removed from the base and moved about the house.

Of course this Philippine beauty isn't cheap. It costs a whooping 869€.

Babycotpod

It is always cool to see what designers come up with when they have children. Shaun Milburn, a design engineer was look for a modern alternative to the Moses basket when his second son was born last year. The Babycotpod is his answer to that problem.
If the bassinet goes into production, it will be available in two models. The Cascara will have a hood and a retractable handles. The Cuba lacks a hood but still has carry handles. Either model can be placed on the wood or plastic Tang stand.

Shaun hopes to have the Babycotpod in production by the end of the year.
