A -- 6/8/11: Aww!!  It's like the perfect storm!!  Vtg DVF yellow maxi dress, the only way it could be more tailormade for you is if it was a wrap.  Will look so gorge on you, and w/how long you've been wanting all those things, I'd say the $100 max is def fine.  Even $120 if it comes down to it!

I know, I know, Lakers colors.  I looked up the brand, looks like it was started by a British woman who grew up all over southeast Asia & the surrounding areas (Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Fiji, the Channel Islands, etc.), and is now sold in pretty much only those areas now too (U.K., Channel Islands, Ireland, Hong Kong, Thailand, Oman, Sri Lanka, Spain).  For some reason, I find it more appealing that it is sold  'legitimately' in many countries, including several 'major' ones, but has not made its way to the U.S.  Course, this prolly means that it is shitty and nobody wants it, but my way is much nicer in my head haha.

I LOVE IT.  This thing has everything - gold, sparkly, maxi, drapey, flowy, booby, god it is just so awesome.  PLUS, it reminds me of the Elvis-ish jumpsuit Britney wore for ads for her Live From Las Vegas HBO special, and I've always loved that outfit/look:

The colors, the drape, the prints, the cuts, argh I want to collect them all and have a beautiful maxidress puddle on my bed to gaze upon adoringly, much like Scrooge McDuck had his vault of gold coins to swim in.  This sounds healthy and sane, right?

The dresses remind me of both Karina Grimaldi and Blu Moon maxis, both of which I am utterly in love with.  The yellow one esp (yellowmaxi!  I will forever think of you when I see one) has the drape and cut of the Blu Moon dresses I so desperately want, while the latter ones w/the deep keyhole plunge are just like the KG dresses that I aspire to collect (there is also a shorter version, which actually looks more like the superpretty Halston Heritage pleated dresses that I also want.  Why do I want so many things?!)

T, 6/12/11:

1st dress (green):  hot, but looks kind of trashy for some reason -- maybe it's the model.

2d dress (white/blue):  okay . . . nothing super special though.

3d dress (hawaiian print w/ hot back):  lurve the back, but I'm not super stoked about Hawaiian print . . . but it could work.

4th dress (yellow):  LURVE!!!!  My fave, but you could already guess that.

5th dress (swirls):  maybe it's the wind blowing, but swirls are awesome.

6th dress (sheer layer):  you know sheer is my new heart.  Go forth.  *EDIT* -- and you just pointed out it's the same as the 1st dress . . . amazing how much it depends on the person wearing it.  And styling, lighting, etc.

7th dress (purple and yellow swirls):  I know there are more colors on that dress, but that's what I notice first.  Maybe you're secretly a Laker fan at heart.

8th dress (hawaiian print w/ hot back):  is this the same as 3d dress?

1. I'm finally back posting after my basically monthlong absence from the blog, due to unpleasant Ebay experiences/sellers - needed a break but now I'm happy again!

2. The dress is in the style of the second pic, but the print of the first pic.  Halter w/gold rings, and deep V back w/the black string from the front tying in the middle of the back.  SUPER hot, and the print in person seriously makes it look like I'm on fire, I love it!!!

3. Already wore it, was initially afraid I'd feel/look kinda slutty, but surprisingly, not at all!!!  My veryfirst maxi, and I am totally converted!  Thanks T!!!
