Ruby's Vintage Patchwork Dress

We've had some warm weather lately, so I jumped at the chance to put this sweet little vintage patchwork dress on Ruby.  Recently, she has been pretty adamant that she wear her pajamas all day, so getting her into this dress was no small feat.   I came up with the brilliant idea to "trade" (sounds much better than "bribe") her for something she would really appreciate.  So, after a bit of negotiation, she traded putting on the dress for one organic tortilla chip and letting me take pictures of her in the dress for two additional chips.  I think we both got a pretty good deal.

 

Patchwork Show Long Beach Spring 2010

I had a great time at the Patchwork Show in Long Beach over the weekend.  It's always nice to sell in my own city.  Since, I'm getting a little tired of showing plain pictures of my booth every time I do a show, I thought this time around I'd show a few photos of my customers.

 

This is Tiffany, our first customer...she looks so great in this bright floral number!

The lovely Castine is a faithful Salvage Life customer, she comes to every show!  She found this cute yellow dress in the $10 trunk. 

Shoot!  It got so busy I forgot to ask her name, but she was another vendor at the show and she looks wonderful in this dress.

Salvage Life at Patchwork Santa Ana Spring '10

We had a great time at the Santa Ana Patchwork Show.  It was HOT but luckily we had a tent over us.  The highlight of the show was definitely the new fitting room that my amazing husband made for me.  I got to see so many beauties try things on, something you don't see a lot of when you sell online.  It was a wonderful day, thank you to everyone who shopped with us!  We have two more shows coming up in Long Beach on June 27th and Santa Ana on July 10th, so save the dates!
