Shopping for Bridesmaid Shoes

UPDATE: I have now added the dress photo, sorry I forgot it the first time. :)

My brother is getting married to one of my best friends at the end of the month and I couldn't be more excited! The bride, Camille, will be wearing a vintage dress from Salvage Life that we have redesigned together with the help of a seamstress.  The bridesmaids will all be wearing mismatched vintage floral dresses from Salvage Life, inspired by this photo.

 We all have our dresses and are currently looking for shoes and belts.  Here is a photo of my dress and some shoes I am looking at online.  I would love any feedback you might have on which you think would look best.  We are going for some kind of natural toned shoe and it will be on grass, so I am thinking a wedge or stacked heel. 

The first three pairs are from Anthropologie and the rest are from Lori's Shoes.  Lori's is great, I have never shopped there before, but I actually already bought the last pair shown and am waiting for them to arrive.  They may not be the right style for the dress, but I am sure I will get a lot of use anyway.  Please let me know your thoughts!

Scenes from the Studio

Our studio and shop space are really coming together.  I finally got the electricity working after calling Edison out 4 times!  I still need a few garment racks and other fixtures, so I am only showing you some close-ups for now.  I also need new hangers, which I can't seem to decide on.  My favorite part of having this new space is how much fun Ruby is having over here, she's always setting things up and trying on all the purses.  When I was designing a little shoe display with some old boxes, she lined up every single box and put one shoe on top of each one.  We aren't going to have open hours until May, but if you live in the area and want to shop this month, you can email me, beth@trend-fashion-today.com, to set up an appointment.

Spring 2011 Lookbook Preview

I just received the final photos for our Spring Lookbook  from photographer Alice Hu.  I probably won't be able to compile the lookbook until later this week or early next, but here is a little tease to tide you over.  I've been busy over at the studio trying to get things set up and can't wait to show you what I've done!

It's Warm Here and My Favorite Tights

I feel so bad posting this outfit while so many people are having bad weather, but it's warm here and that's only one of the reasons I will never leave Southern California. (the others being family, mostly).  I've had this dress from Anthropologie for a few years now, but it is still one of my favorites, I remember when I saw it in the store window!  I added a leather belt, tights, and gold shoes.  By the way, if you haven't noticed these tights are a staple in my wardrobe, when I found them at Loehman's, I immediately hoarded all the pairs in my size and I have designated one for boots and the other for open toed shoes.  I have a third pair on reserve in case something happens to one of the others and the fourth pair I gave to my sister, but I really had to think about it. :)

Note: For those coming over from lovely Lindsey's blog, I am really trying to get more then one outfit a week, but it's tax time and the terrible two's around here, so please understand.  :)
 Oh, and I was so busy talking, I forgot to mention that these photos were taken when there was no where to stand except in front of my little shop background, so enjoy the view of my studio/house. Pretty sure I spotted a cheerio, while this shot was being taken.
