My ginormous feet usually require a size 9.5/40, but the measurements somehow work out for this!  (Yes, I actually measured my foot.  First time for everything)  Weirdly, the seller has another pair of shoes for sale, diff brand, size 9.5, that is listed as 10.1" insole, so I am hoping that means these run big.  I am way into wedges/espadrilles right now, probably in the vain hope that the weather will start allowing open toed shoes soon.  Am I ODing on Armani?  Is there even such a thing?

T, 3/22/11:  No such thing as too much haute couture!  I wish I could have more pieces like you.  Weird . . . would they run that much bigger though?  Maybe you can try on armani shoes somewhere and get a range?

Obituaries: Ebay Auction Losses of February 2011

     It has not been a good month for my Ebay auctions.  Not one, not two, but EIGHT amazing finds, lost to the ravages of that silent killer: a crappy Time Warner internet connection*.  Blazers, dresses, a top and a cardigan, from vintage couture to NWT yuppie brands, the deadly affliction struck without discrimation, leaving me bereft and devastated, alternating between futile rage and teary depression.  I am almost afraid to bid again - clearly, there will need to be a period of mourning.  Below, in loving memory:

My second Armani - clearly I am less excited about this than the dress.  Good, classic design/colors tho, I'm just hoping I can pull this off (blazers are on my 'list' of things I feel I need to accumulate.  Also on the list: a rainbow of cardigans)  This increases my desire for loafers, though it does not increase my courage to wear them.

ps.  Am including sooo many pics bc I am still not 100% convinced on authenticity...

T, 2/10/11:  I AM!!!  Dude, no one's going to counterfeit something this complicated and without logos . . . AND since there's another jacket that looks EXACTLY like it, I'm pretty freaking sure it's real.  Esp since the gray lace fp that you dislike also said it was missing its care instruction tag (and c'mon, who would counterfeit fp).  Maybe some ppl remove those tags because (1) it's annoying/big; and (2) to prevent returns.

Great buy, beautiful colors/material/style, awesome price, butttt . . . you already know my concern about fit.  Can't wait to see how it works out.

Hmm...I wonder what drew me to this dress.  I believe my train of thought went thusly:

Boobs!!!  Back!!!  OMG!!!  So very much boobsandback!!!

And I wonder why people tell me I must be a guy on the inside.  This thing seems SO booby though, that I am having trouble figuring out where I would even put the doublestick tape!  I was thinking that perhaps I have regressed to the good ol' college days of lessismore dressing, but apparently I never left.

T, 1/4/11:  I understand your purchase of this piece at this price -- like my Kieselstein Cord, you got what retails at $2k+ for under $100 . . . you couldn't pass it up.  Doubt it's A/X, Beacon's would know better than to price something like that, and this is too unique for something mass produced.  It's way sexyclassy with the boobs/back and lined sparkle.  Big approval.

A -- 1/13/11: Wow.  Just, wow.  My "reward" for enduring the red-eye back here was opening this package, and it was definitely quite a reward -- pricetag (and this was a seriously attached pricetag, not one of those you can tell can be re-attached after removed) read almost TWENTYNINEHUNDREDBUCKS!!!  An almost $3K dress, for $100.  Seriously?!  Fit was amazing too, where can I find a redcarpet to wear this on?!
