Stuart Weitzman Madison Adobe Aniline Nude Pump

Size: 5
Heel: 4"

Starting Bid: $144
S&H: $9.99
Ends: May 28, 2011; 4:05PM PST (7:05PM EST)

Gah, I want.  Desperately.  Wish it were $60, maybe even $80, since it's so goddamn hard for me to find shit that fits.

A -- 5/27/11: Well what can I say about nude pumps?  Every girl should own a pair, and even though I'm not the biggest SW fan, these are classic enough that I'd agree w/the $60 max.  You'll find it, don't worry…patience!

T, 5/28/11:  $155, 1 bid (yeah, I don't get how the winning bid could be higher than the starting . . . maybe seller changed it).

Starting Bid: $29.99
Buy It Now: $49.99
S&H: $7
Ends: May 30, 2011; 5:40PM PST (8:40PM EST)

Tsk tsk . . . it always hurts to see a good brand turn slightly sour.  SW, you disappoint me -- usually, you're so good with the subdued.  Your gaudy label here looks like a cheap MK shoe. Boo.

A -- 5/17/11: Seriously, this is such a literal take on *branding*…on a sunny day, you'd be left with a SW tan line…gross

Prada Black Pumps

Size: 35

Starting Bid: $30, 1 Bid
S&H: $5.99
Ends: May 26, 2011; 11:45AM PST (2:45PM EST)

Perfection.  Max at $40?

A -- 5/24/11: Dude. Perfection is right!!!  They look so new too, is there a pic of the soles?  I'd say max at $65, since you are looking for exactly these.  Wow how long has it been since I had a higher max than you?!

T, 5/26/11:  $32, 3 bids.  Okay, that is ridic low and I should've bid.  But I've resolved to get nude pumps before replacing something I already have . . .

Heel: 3.5"
Retail: $895
Starting Bid: $99.99
S&H: Free
Ends: May 25, 2011; 12PM PST (3PM PST)

Not really a good comparison, but didn't feel like making two posts.  Former would be perf and I'd jump all over that shit for $50.  Latter seems too gladiator.  Dude, a lot of these auctions I'm posting are ending May 25 -- weird.  And post rapture, for that matter.

A -- 5/24/11:
Manolo1: Too yellow, and I don't like rounded straps like that, I prefer them flat.  Also, too expensive.
Manolo2: I kinda like the gladiator look, and this looks newer, which could justify the price if it is truly unworn.  Seems like something you'd need to try on tho, to see how you like the gladiator look on your foot.

T, 5/25/11:
Manolo#1 ended at $100, 2 bids.
Manolo#2 ended at $158.50, 10 bids.  You win.

Peter Kaiser Purple Pumps

Size: 5
Material: Leather
Heel: 3"

Starting Bid:  $14.95, 0 Bids
S&H: $10.80
Ends: April 24, 2011; 12:00PM PST (3:00PM EST)

God, I only post at weird hours, now.  I remember wanting a "rainbow" array of pumps a while back, per your treasure hunt for rainbow cardis!  I have hot pink, red, black, turquoise . . . been wanting to add purple, yellow, and possibly orange or green.  While I was hoping for a deeper purple, this shall suffice, esp since it's so friggin hard for me to find shoes.  Although I like that the brand is high[er] end but a little more obscure, it's still not couture, g'dammit.  Style takes precedence over brand, so I'm focusing properly, right?!  Won't go more than a buck or two above starting.

T, 4/24/11:  Happy Easter!  Won at starting bid ($14.95).  Was gonna go shopping IRL today since my day is empty, but then I realized all the stores are closed bc of Easter . . . so glad I got this instead. :)

T, 5/1/11:  Emailed seller about working something out, since shoes are a lot darker (i.e., shit-colored) in person.

T, 5/2/11:  Seller says full refund (incl orig s&h costs), only I pay return s&h.  Sounds good to me.

A -- 5/3/11: Aww now we both know the pain of having to return something =(  It's good that the seller will at least refund…now that I look at the pic, u can tell it's overly purple - even the carpet is shaded purple bc of it.  Guess we need to be on the lookout in the future.  Live and learn I guess, right?

T, 5/10/11:  Refund received.  Woo.

Stuart Weitzman Tortoise Pumps

Size: 5
Material: Leather
Heel: 3"
Retail: $295

Starting Bid: $9.99, 0 Bids
S&H: $9.50
Ends: May 1, 2011; 6:00PM PST (9:00PM EST)

I remember wanting these when they first came out a few yrs ago -- it's FINALLY at the right price now.  Supposedly these are new, but it looks like the bottom has been redone, and seller says CA buyers have to add tax.  Will prob max at $20.

T, 5/1/11:  $10.50, 2 bids.

A -- 5/3/11: Good, I do not like tortoiseshell.  Focus on finding the SW 'Fever' line, they are superhot in superhot colors, just hard to find now =(

Stuart Weitzman Silver Sandal Heels

Size: 5
Material: Leather
Heel: 3.5"

Starting Bid: $19.99, 0 Bids
S&H: $10
Ends: April 27, 2011; 7:10PM PST (10:10PM EST)

SW, to me, can do no wrong . . . I have a ton of his shoes, and they just always fit.  Yes, fit fit fit fit fit . . . my biggest concern.  I know it's okay to get things out of order, and I fig after I acquire my gold strappy heels (who knows how long that will take), I'll prob want silver too, and these fit the bill.  But these look kind of cheap.  Ehh . . .

T, 4/27/11:  Ended with no bids.  I'm not exactly surprised.

A -- 5/3/11: Can you msg the seller?  I'd approve of these at $20 flat, incl shipping.  I know it looks a lil overwhelming w/all that silver, but really, there will only be a few slim straps showing; your foot will be covering most of it.

Stuart Weitzman Gold Linedrive Heels

Size: 4
Retail: $345

Starting Bid: $89.99
S&H: $13.20
Ends: May 1, 2011; 7:00PM PST (10:00PM EST)

I have enough difficulty finding shoes as a size 5, but how awesome would it be to be a size 4 so I could get these.  Not exactly in lurve with the straps, but how freaking spaaaaaaaaaarkly and pageanty!

A -- 5/3/11: Ahh love it!!!  I am hypnotized by the sparkles.  You're right tho, wish the front half would be thinner and less reminiscent of something you'd put on someone in a padded room.

Prada Gold Snakeskin Heels

Size: 35
Heel: 4"

Starting Bid: $39.99
S&H: $6.50
Ends: April 14, 2011; 10:35AM PST (1:35PM EST)

Too snakey?  Not exactly in love with the covered heel, but I can deal.  They're pretty beat/tore, though . . . wish they were $20, given the cond.

A -- 4/8/11: Prada!  Gold!  4" stilettoes!  Snakeskin!  If only they were a lil less beat up, I would say jump on them.  I think $20 would be good, maybe seller will lower.

T, 4/14/11:  $45, 3 bids.

Manolo Blahnik Silver Peep Toe Slingbacks

Size: 40

Starting Bid: $20.99 (0 Bids)
S&H: $15.00
Ends: April 10, 2011; 2:40PM PST (5:40PM EST)

Ok this statement is going to date me, and reveal just how sadly obsessed w/popculture I really am, but it's too relevant not to include: these remind me of the shoes that Kristin Cavallari wore on an episode of the first season of Laguna Beach. (the real OC!)  Yah, I know, there were about 458384 things wrong w/that sentence, but what can I do, I can't shake it!  That appeal aside (and again sadly, that is a pretty strong appeal), I also like these shoes on their own merits:

1. Manolos (I have only one pair - the black patent maryjanes that were on an episode of Sex and the City…sigh, I have really got to stop taking my cues from terrible TV)

2. Silver heels (I have been wanting a pair for a long time, altho I would prefer more strappy…but then again, I am kinda lacking in the pump/slingback department given my predilection towards all things thinly strapped and revealing, even shoes)

3. Umm…starting price + shipping of $35.99?  BigfatYES

T, 4/9/11:  YESSS!

A -- 4/12/11: Sold for $21.49 (2 bids).  Decided I couldn't get away from my desire for strappy.

T, 4/11/11:  Dear lord, I'm insanely jelly right now . . .

Salvatore Ferragamo Black Leather Moc Loafers

Size: 10

Current Bid: $9.50 (1 Bid)
S&H: $5.25
Ends: April 10, 2011; 4:58PM PST (7:58PM EST)

I think if I am ever going to take the moc/loafer leap, these should be my first.  Simple, classic, quality, versatile, and well priced (for now)…and did I mention that I <3 Ferragamo?  It was my first everything - first 'real' adult purchase post college, first couture brand, first big bag buy, first $1000+ spent on a single item…there's a picture of me holding my white Ferragamo bag looking delirious with joy, so I get a little rush every time I see/think of anything Ferragamo.  How do you put a price on that?

T, 4/9/11: YESSS!

A -- 4/12/11: Bought!  $19.49, 4 bids.  Really on the strength of my Ferragamo-love, although I do want to force myself to branch out and try new things (how sad that 'new things' for me is the ridiculously unrisky Ferragamo flat loafers)

T, 4/11/11:  CONGRATS!!!  Lurrrrrrrve these.  They're classic and wearable even after the loafer craze ends.  And they are risky -- it's one of those deliciously awesome items that are trendy, classic and couture all in one.  So rare, and so great.

Giorgio Armani Alligator Wedges

Size: 8.5
Insole: 10.0"
Width: 3.4"
Heel Height: 4.5"

Current Bid: $15.49 (2 Bids)
S&H: $9.95
Ends: March 24, 2011; 7:50PM PST (10:50PM EST)

My ginormous feet usually require a size 9.5/40, but the measurements somehow work out for this!  (Yes, I actually measured my foot.  First time for everything)  Weirdly, the seller has another pair of shoes for sale, diff brand, size 9.5, that is listed as 10.1" insole, so I am hoping that means these run big.  I am way into wedges/espadrilles right now, probably in the vain hope that the weather will start allowing open toed shoes soon.  Am I ODing on Armani?  Is there even such a thing?

T, 3/22/11:  No such thing as too much haute couture!  I wish I could have more pieces like you.  Weird . . . would they run that much bigger though?  Maybe you can try on armani shoes somewhere and get a range?

A -- 3/23/11: Wtf, like an hour after I posted this, a new person bid.  It's now at $20.50.  What are the chances that someone found it from my post?

A -- 3/25/11: Okay so this thing sold for freaking $162.50 w/22 BIDS!!!  The sudden uptick in bidding came right after I originally posted this - I realize of course that we can only dream of our sh*tty lil blogbaby having such an influence but really, it makes me kinda paranoid.  Could it be?

Jimmy Choo "Fleet" Gold Strappy Sandals

Buy It Now: $309.99
S&H: $9

Been searching for strappy gold heels too.  Sigh, I can only dream that this is $50-$75.

A -- 3/25/11: Um, it's strappy gold stiletto Choos.  All of those words are AWESOME.  Given that I have something like six pairs of gold heels, I will clearly strongly approve of these.  Esp since they are Choos, which are by far my favs (so comfy!)

Stuart Weitzman Jeweled Pink Suede Tennis Shoes

S&H: $7.80

As someone who can't afford choos, and has been devoted to SW instead, c'mon, really?!  I lurve pink, I am a fan of suede, and I am totally into bling, but SW, you've finally let me down!  Although, the more I look at it, the more I think it's kind of cute . . . maybe this is the modern, girlified version of Elvis's blue suede shoes.

A -- 3/25/11: Hmm…I am torn on these.  Not really our usual style, but they *could* look cute on you - you could rock the loose rolled up boyfriend jeans look w/these!

Why can't these be $40-$50?  The blog shows I really do look for the same shit over and over again . . . brings ssdd to a whole other level.

A -- 3/25/11: Am I the only person who didn't know what 'ssdd' meant?  Is it bc I don't have Facebook?

There's something to be said about designer shoes on ebay -- you really can find a great deal.  I remember when my nyrmie's friends visited and we hit up buffex around the corner.  She called me, when they were there, to come scope out the digs bc it appeared some "little person" unloaded their shoe collection.  There was an abundance of designer brands in "smaller sizes."  Unfortch, none of them were 35s, although a couple of nyrmie's friends scored choos and pradas for $30ish in sz 36s.  So, it's nice to see something in my sz on ebay.  Shipping kind of kills this deal, but it's really not bad for what it is, and I like the thicker heel since it provides more support.  Maybe my faithful Nine Wests (worn proudly since hs!) deserve to be retired . . .

A -- 3/17/11: I guess you can't go wrong w/black pumps, but damn why is the shipping so high?!  As for 'repeats' or the like, you can never have too many 'classics' like this - the old ones will always wear out, and it's good to have a spare on hand (cuz I totally keep 'spare' Pradas just laying around.)

T, 3/16/11:  LOL, our time diff makes our date stamps diff. :)  Ended with no bids, seller said this past time will be the last it's listed.  Maybe if shipping also drops, I'll get.  It's about time I replace my faithful NWs . . .

Great deal, again, except don't really love the way these look.  Reminds me of the color of my diarrhea this past wkd that made me miss my snowboarding trip . . .

. . . and, as it turns out, I've posted these before (linked)!  I swear it looked familiar, but in my food poisoned/stomach virus state, I'm a little out of it and chocked it up to delusion.  Funny, I cmt'ed that it looked like my diarrhea now, you cmt'ed that it looked like diarrhea then.  Guess that's a no . . .

T, 3/13/11:  Someone bought it, of course.

A -- 3/17/11:  LOL!!  When I first read your description, I thought "haha I'm so glad our blog has its first reference to diarrhea!"  And now it turns out, I actually made the first diarrhea reference!!  This really says it all about us doesn't it?

I'm sure by the time I finish this post, someone will have bought these -- this is an AMAZING deal.  Honestly, I'd jump on this right now except I have a pair of Stuart Weitzmans that look almost EXACTLY like this.  I'm trying not to bring on repeats in my wardrobe.

T, 3/13/11:  Someone bought it, of course.

A -- 3/17/11: I have a pair that looks very similar, but in gold, and w/a 4" heel - my point being that I LOVE strappy Choos.  I remember encouraging this buy, but you again did not want repeats.  What if you have two events two nights in a row, w/the same ppl?!  Repeats in the wardrobe are necessary to avoid repeats in outfits!

Traveled to four places:  (1) REI, which had awesome help but was overpriced and had very little options; (2) Sports Authority, where I bought the bulk of my items and was decently priced with sales but very poor help;  (3) Big 5, which had very little options but well-priced items; and (4) Sports Chalet, which had a good amount of stuff, not as much as Sports Authority, but was on the whole pricier.

Had to finish purchasing everything in one night because I'm getting a haircut tmw and we leave Fri.  Glad I didn't drag OG or YB, who offered to help me accumulate my gear, to any of these places, given my jewishness and need to check out ALL my options before being satisfied.  Though, they prob would've helped with the biggest time suck, which was trying to fig out what to buy, although REI saleslady did a decent job explaining.

Debating if all of this is necessary (namely, the underarmor stuff, which OG can't wear because he's pudgy and it restricts his breathing, tee hee), but ehh, I might as well . . .

And, of course, tks, A, for answering my frantic texts of which jacket to get and what gloves to buy. :)

Lesson learned?  I am a ten year old boy.

A -- 1/18/11: A very nice snowbunny outfit, I approve T!!  Sigh...snowboarding = <3

Marc by Marc Jacobs Red Mouse Flats

Size: 35

Buy It Now: $85
S&H: $10

Mousie shoes are so me.  For xmas, a friend mailed a pair of mousie slippers from Taiwan bc he thought of me when he saw them.  Been wanting a pair of mj mouse flats since they came out back in . . . '05, I think?  Couldn't stomach paying $150 for them, and every yr, designs get uglier, and prices keep rising (like the poor, gaudy man's version of the Chanel 2.55).  $95 still seems like a bit, but I can never find them in my sz.  Plus, it combines my desire for red flats.  Mehhh . . .

A -- 2/9/11: Ugh these are sooo not as cute as the original mousieflats -- HOLD OUT!!!

T, 3/8/11:  Dammit, since I've been a little preoccupied lately, I didn't realize they were relisted for $65, and someone bought at that buy-it-now.  Dunno if I would've, tbh, but I would've liked the option . . . very "have my cake and eat it too" of me.
