Many moons ago, I was determined to find a white cami that had both lace on top AND lace on the bottom hem -- a lot of tops only had one or the other.  Finally found the perfect cami at Nordies Rack, and it was Lily White.  I fig'ed if I were able to find my victorian collared, white lace tank, it'd prob be of similar brand.  This is perf.  Max at $5?  I still have $5 left on my groupon to use.

A -- 4/21/11: I guess if you had to get one of these, this one is not bad, esp since it was basically free.  It's the neck that bothers me, I just see it and it makes me think bondage, and not the *good* kind. ;-)

T, 4/23/11:  Saw a cream lace top, with a zipper from the victorian neckline to around the boob area, by Laundry by Shelli Segal yest at tjmaxx for $30.  Was sooo tempted to get it, except I couldn't quite fill out the boob area.  Sooo happy I waited just one more day, since this top arrived today -- it's PERFECT.  It's slightly off white (the pic doesn't show that), and I couldn't have hoped for a better fit.  This top has def restored my ebay confidence.  And just twenty five cents, to boot!

Two small snags (hence the latter two pics included).  Don't really know how to look for tops, but since it's a new goal of mine, I fig I can start with my fave, dvf, who can do no wrong.  This top has color, is flowy, is conservative enough for me to wear to work, and isn't long enough where I'd be tempted to don it as a dress.  Prob wouldn't go over $10, though, for now, due to the two snags.  As I've stated before, I like to do the damage to my own shit.

A -- 4/6/11: This is one of those I'd only approve of based on price.  I'm actually not loving the color combo there, which is strange bc she is usually so on point when it comes to mixing color.  Also don't like the trapeze shape, and the bottom where it's pulled in and up (the shirt version of the bubblehem dresses that I hate so much).  I'd say only if the $10 rule applies, which, w/shipping, it does not.

Found this at my local goodwill in blk.  No size tag, and no price tag, but given goodwill's usual price range, I'm going to take a very educated guess at $2.99 to $5.99.  Considering yoox priced this originally at $138, and given Jil Sander's horrifically high prices, I'm thinking this prob retailed at around $300-$400.

Since the shirt was see through, I originally thought maybe this was an undershirt of a full-on Jil Sander shirt that someone lost, so the person decided to donate the remainder.  But nope, yoox proves there are just some ppl out there rich enough to donate their items worth several hundred dollars.  Had the shirt not been see through, I prob would've purchased.

Lace Cream Top on the Bad Girls Club

Traveled to four places:  (1) REI, which had awesome help but was overpriced and had very little options; (2) Sports Authority, where I bought the bulk of my items and was decently priced with sales but very poor help;  (3) Big 5, which had very little options but well-priced items; and (4) Sports Chalet, which had a good amount of stuff, not as much as Sports Authority, but was on the whole pricier.

Had to finish purchasing everything in one night because I'm getting a haircut tmw and we leave Fri.  Glad I didn't drag OG or YB, who offered to help me accumulate my gear, to any of these places, given my jewishness and need to check out ALL my options before being satisfied.  Though, they prob would've helped with the biggest time suck, which was trying to fig out what to buy, although REI saleslady did a decent job explaining.

Debating if all of this is necessary (namely, the underarmor stuff, which OG can't wear because he's pudgy and it restricts his breathing, tee hee), but ehh, I might as well . . .

Okay, I know you already hate this, but hear me out!  I have a special place in my heart for R&J Couture -- one of my first "nicer" pieces was R&JC, purchased off of bluefly.  I still wear the damn babydoll dress to this day, thankyouverymuch.  And, as you already know, this encompasses one of my wishlist items:  (1) cream; (2) sheer; and (3) lacy/ruffles.  I've seen this at Loehmanns for $40, but felt it was waaaay too much for basically half a shirt since it's sheer.  While $20ish ($15 + $7 S&H) is a lot more rsbl, I still wouldn't want to pay anymore than $10.  C'mon, pls turn up on ebay for uber cheap . . .

Okay several things to note:
1. Could this be more boring?  A brown tank.  But sequins!  Does that make it better?  Honestly, I am drawn to this bc I used to have this A&F (yah, I know, ugh, it was college) brown strappy tank that was like my absolute favorite thing to wear ever, and it looked very similar to this.  Plus, I love the back.

So, I RARELY ever see my size for lacoste, even at maj dept stores.  Was totally shocked to run across a perfect condition, white lacoste polo at my local vtg store for only $11.  I've now gone twice to look at it, and I've inspected it meticulously each time.  I know from personal experience that white stains EASILY -- esp the pits (I read that wearing deodorant actually makes it turn yellow too).  I swear I'm not a dirty girl.

Given how much I've spent the last 2 mos for xmas + snowboarding, I'm a little reluctant to buy yet another item that I don't really need, and in particular here, let alone wear.  Really, how do I wear it?  Guess I'll have to start wearing jeans again . . . I keep hoping they'll add a 50% off stamp to this.
