Rip Off the Sleeves and Make it One Of a Kind

This is the first of four posts this week featuring my brother, Stephen's wedding at the end of April...finally!  I had the pleasure of helping with a lot of the wedding details.  In this post, you can see the dress my new sister-in-law, Camille, wore.  She looked so beautiful, and Stephen looked so in-love.  It was a vintage dress from the 1970's, a Gunne Sax style dress, that we completely redesigned with the help of a seamstress.  It was the third dress she tried on from my shop and like a scene out of a movie, we ripped the sleeves off right there and we knew it was the one! We then had a seamstress reconstruct the bodice to be one shouldered, isn't it dreamy?

Vintage Wedding Dresses Coming This Week

These vintage wedding dresses are all coming to the online shop this week!  I love how pretty these are hanging on the old brass garment rack, but I am definitely in need of some appropriate hangers, I just can't seem to find the perfect ones.  Maybe I'll have to do a post with a reader vote for the hanger choice, what do you think?

A Dreamy Vintage Wedding in Venice

When I package up a wedding dress and send it off, I feel so excited and I dream of the pretty lady that will be wearing it on her special day.  Though never in my dreams have I imagined a bride looking this beautiful and the backdrop of her wedding being more romantic.  An outdoor wedding in Venice...amazing!!!  She wore a lovely bolero and sash over the dress which I think dressed it up a bit for the ceremony, then later you can see the lace sleeves which are also very sweet.  After the wedding Sarah sent me these photos with a wonderful email, her words:

"Thanks very much Beth!
It turned out to be a truly magical wedding. I felt beautiful in my vintage dress! The guys walked through the streets of Venice and the girls arrived by boat to meet at the Campo de L'Abazia. The ceremony was simple, followed by photographs and champagne. Then we found ourselves part of an impromptu parade as we walked from the Campo to the dinner venue, with well wishes from strangers speaking italian and everyone clapping!!!"

I am so thrilled that Salvage Life was a part of Sarah's fabulous wedding and I wish her the most wonderful life with her new husband! Local customer wears Salvage Life for her Vow Renewal Ceremony

Nothing makes me happier than a satisfied customer, actually there is one thing...a satisfied customer that sends photos!

Local customer, Shannon Garcia scheduled an appointment a few months ago to try on a 1970's vintage wedding dress she saw in our online shop. She was planning to renew her vows and she wanted an earthy, bohemian dress. This one was a PERFECT fit, it didn't even need alterations. She was kind enough to send me photos and she looks absolutely beautiful in this dress. Congrats to her and her hubby, wishing them many more years of happiness!

If you have photos of you wearing your Salvage Life finds, please send them to trend-fashion-today@gmail.com, we'd love to feature you!
