Had a thing for Belle's dress from Beauty and the Beast since HS . . . my winter formal dress (for another HS' winter formal) was yellow, in an attempt to mimic it.  Obv, this dress won't fit and is entirely impractical, but it's so "wow."  Seller mentions, "The Contessa wore this back in the 80s in Beverly Hills, but the style is back in fashion now!"  Tag doesn't look like it's from the 80s, though, and who is the Contessa?

A -- 3/25/11: Yenno, my fav images from Beauty and the Beast were always the library - it is still my dream to have a library like that.  And a turret.  And an Italian villa, a French estate, an island, a yacht, a private jet…yenno, the essentials.  But to start…

ps.  I have no idea who the Contessa is, but that is gonna bug me - msg the seller and ask!!

Was going thru the fashionblogs, and came across this from theSartorialist - Bottega Veneta Fall 2011:

T, 3/25/11:  Ended with no bids.  Relisted with a starting bid of $99.99, S&H $18.  Per your request, I msg'ed the seller about who the Contessa was.  Seller wrote back:  "I am so sorry, but this is confidential. It in no way reflects the "previously owned" price of the gown. Thank you for your inquiry."

 T, 3/29/11:  Holy crap, relisted at $74.95.  So what if it doesn't fit . . . but really, when will I ever need a gold gown?!

T, 4/2/11:  Ended at $74.95, with 1 bid.  So much for hoping it would sink to $20 and I could prance around in my rm with it.
