I am determined to make a Nicole Miller dress work for me - my last two attempts (a navy/gold strapless dress that was too small, and the recent pink that was too big) were sadly failures, but they make me that much more obstinate in my desire to MAKEITWORK.  Many things about this appeal to me: the vivid color, the quality fabric, the quirky but not overpowering pattern, the different but not too crazy shape…what do you think?  Maybe w/a belt?  Maybe shortened too...

T, 4/6/11:  So impressed how you're not peeved when stuff doesn't work out for you; you just move on.  I stew and dwell.  (How sad that I'm not referring to real life struggles.)  Anyway, no shortening!  Lurve the drape.  Preserve the essence!  And . . . is this vtg n.miller?  Makes it that much better.

A -- 4/8/11:  Bought!  $10.48 + $5.25 = $14.73.  Not bad, considering it's a giant piece of silk.  A giant silk sack.  To be honest, I'm still not totally sure how/where to wear this, but I'll find a way to makeitwork!
