New Year = New Goals

Wow, it feels like I have been gone forever!  This is the longest break I have taken since I started Salvage Life 4 years ago and I needed it.  2010 was a whirlwind which brought many blessings to me and my family.  With Taylor Swift buying from our shop, the People Magazine feature, and the Today Show, I really feel encouraged that Salvage Life is on the right track.  I have some exciting ideas fro 2011 and I can't wait to get started.  Here's a few photos from our holiday festivities:

2010 was a fantastic year and I am hoping that 2011 will be even better.  It's hard to limit myself on Goals, so I have along list, but I'll spare you because I prefer that you keep reading my blog. :)

My top 4 Goals for 2011 (read these as if I am giving myself a pep talk in the mirror)

1. Get Salvage Life the heck out of my house ~ get a studio!
2. Suck it up and get pregnant with baby #2, it's not going to get easier if you wait another year
3. Be sure to make my hubby a priority, he is my number one supporter and he deserves it!
4. Don't be a hermit, seek out friendships with other moms and business owners

Let me guess, your New Years resolution is to lose weight, eat healthier, exercise more...blah blah blah. Yeah, me too. One of my resolutions this year, is to seriously cut back on artificial sweeteners. There's just no telling what damage has already been done from the years of aspartame coursing through my veins. So the challenge then becomes (with my ridiculous sweet tooth), how do I do this while still fitting into my skinny jeans? Luckily, there are sneaky little products like Steviacane that can help us out along the way. It has a few calories (1/3 the amount of normal sugar), but it tastes exactly like regular sugar. I was given a sample of this stuff before the holidays, and I immediately ran out to HEB for some more. If you'd like to give it a taste, you can get a free sample from their Facebook page. Have any of you guys tried Steviacane? If so, what do you think?

Can see the very slight stain; seller says it's prob coffee.  Teal is very pretty, but almost too bright . . . this is just good for looking, since my watchlist is empty right now.  Wouldn't go much higher than the max, if at all.

A -- 12/25/10:  Ask for a diff/better pic, it may be the lighting.  I agree re:max, if anything, I'd think it should be lower.

T, 1/2/11:  Ended with no bids.  Let's see if seller lowers price.  Prob still won't bid -- lurve turquoise, but it's too damn bright.  Hurts mine eyes.
