Navy Theory Shirt Dress

Size: 0
Shoulder To Shoulder: 13" Across
Armpit To Armpit: 17" Across
Waist: 26" Around
Hips: 19" Across
Length: 37"

Starting Bid: $0.99, 0 Bids
S&H: $10.70
Ends: October 30, 2010; 6:35PM PST

Not a flattering pic, which could work to my adv a la Poleci.  And it's the color/waist-tie for which I'm looking.  Will ask seller for measurements and when she bought it (listing says she works at a dept store and constantly buys stuff).  A little worried about end bid time, as I'll prob be out/on my way out by then . . . hween, woo!  Max, $30?

T, 10/24/10:  Seller emailed measurements, which I updated.  Bust and hip worry me; and she bought in late 2009 (so there should be a 00 out there which fits better).  I'll prob pass on this one . . .

A -- 10/24/10: It looks kinda long...and I'd say shortslved > longslved in shirtdresses...it may be a bad pic, but it's kinda harder to picture it "realistically" better, whereas I could w/the Poleci.  Prolly a pass for me too.

T, 10/31/10:  Meh, ended with 10 bids, $25.29.  Good price.

T4S Burgundy Fur Jacket

Size: M (NWOT)
Material: 100% Rabbit fur
Shoulder to shoulder: 18.5"
Armpit to cuff: 18.5"

Starting Bid: $85.00; 0 bids
S&H: $15.00
Ends: October 30, 2010; 10:40AM PST (1:40PM EST)

Another T4S fur jacket!!!  I'm pretty sure this is almost identical to the brown one, but this one says burgundy, it's kind of hard to tell in the pic how the color really looks.  Seller is in NY, so maybe I can ask for pickup if it's close enough.  I've been looking at so many of these now, for so long, it's all starting to blur and I'm afraid I'm starting to lose the enthusiasm!

T, 10/27/10:  omg another T4S, and it's brown (better/less boring than blk?)!  Maybe this is the one meant to be!  Btw, you sure you don't wanna focus on minks now, instead of rabbit?  In any case, glad T4S is back -- goes to show nothing is the end of the world.

A -- 10/30/10: Sold for starting bid.  I was hoping there'd be no bids, and she'd relist/I'd offer something lower, maybe around $75 total instead of $100 total.  Oh well...

T, 10/31/10:  What's up with the Theory brown furs that don't sell as well?  I don't get it.  Good for you, bad for seller.

Brown Mink Jacket

Size: S
Material: Mink
Shoulder to shoulder: 18"
Armpit to armpit: 20"
Sleeve: 22"
Length: 26"

Current Bid: $50.99; 8 bids
S&H: $19.95
Ends: October 30, 2010; 12:45M PST (3:45PM EST)

Mink!  Brown!  Mink!!!  Could be slightly big, and also a lil too structured, but now I'm just being ridiculously picky. Where do you think this will end at?

T, 10/27/10:  Beautiful!  Perfect color, fur is nice and glossy, and I like the structure and cute little tie-bow.  Yeah, can see how it might be a little big (armpit to armpit is 20"!), but it's still nice.  Dude, already 8 bids and 3 days to go . . . if we double the current, I wouldn't be surprised if it went over $100.

A -- 10/30/10: 32 bids, $202.50.  Cuz that's not a crazy price to pay for someone's old jacket.

T, 10/31/10: Ridic, and very much not worth it, unless we don't know how to gauge mink yet . . .

The ever growing list of things I've longed/been searching for for years...

1. Kate Bosworth in Calvin Klein

2. Sarah Jessica Parker in ??? -- for the life of me I can't figure out who made this dress, that "Carrie" wore on her first date with the Russian.  I couldn't even find a full-length picture of it online, this was the closest I could get, and it does NOT do the dress justice.

3. Nicole Richie in Charlotte Ronson

4. Blake Lively in Michael Kors

T, 10/30/10: LOL!  You're getting good with polyvore.  I *think* I know what dress you're talking about for SJP.  Lurve all of them but the NR in CR one, which is odd, because usually I lurve all NR (well, at least her maxis).  Too ruffly and a poop brown.

A -- 10/31/10: Additions

5. Kristen Bell in Jenni Kayne - been looking for a comparable nude tank + bright skirt combo forever, no such luck

6. Erin Wasson in Roberto Cavalli for H&M - was considering this as a substitute for the Carriedress.  It's hot, but the Carrie dress is def in a league of its own.

7. Victoria Beckham in Roberto Cavalli - not that there is anywhere on Earth I could actually wear this, but migod it is so hot!

T,  10/31/10:  Ah, I remember the RC for H&M one . . . LOVED it too.  VB in RC reminds me of JLo's dress at the Oscars.

Wishlist: Bags

Wishlist: Bags

to date:

Balenciaga motorcycle bag
Gucci G Wave (actually want this in an exotic, but couldn't find one on polyvore)
Burberry studded leather Knight bag
Chanel classic 2.55 black caviar bag

aaaand, the piece de resistance...

Hermes crocodile Birken bag

Still searching for a pic of the perfect Bottega to add...

T, 10/31/10:  Happy Halloweenie!  LOVE all these bags . . . the Balenciaga is a really pretty turquoise, btw.   Which Bottega are you pining for?

Happy Halloweenie!!

Hello my Tres Chic friends! Hope your Halloween is filled with silly tricks, yummy treats, and lots of R&R this Sunday. Check in tomorrow for our best giveaway ever:) -Beth

St. John Vintage Gray Sweater Dress

Size: no size tag

Shoulder To Shoulder: 12"
Sleeve: 21 1/2"
Length: 39 1/4"

Buy It Now: $49.99
S&H: $7.50
Ends: October 30, 2010; 3:00PM PST (6:00PM EST)

Aw, I know, too old lady.  Maybe I should chop off the sleeves?  Or not button all the way?  Measurements seem good though + I want something gray; I like sweaters (so general!); I like vintage.  Auction ends so soon.  If seller relists, I will email about: (1) material; (2) pics of stains b/c, though listing says there are stains, I can't see any in the posted pics; and (3) waist size.

A -- 10/30/10: Dude, this is what a schoolteacher from Anne of Green Gables would wear.  Also, I'm almost certain I saw a woman wear this actual dress on I Love Lucy.  An old woman.  So this dress was worn by a woman who was considered old in the 50s.  Need I say more?

Prada Tan Tweed A-Line Pleated Skirt

Size: Unlisted
Material: 34% Wool; 34% Acrylic; 32% Alpaca
Waist: 23.5"
Hips: 34.5"
Length: 20"

Starting bid: $18.99, 0 Bids
S&H: $8.85
Ends: October 29, 2010, 2:50PM PST

So focused on tweed jacket, I completely forgot about . . . dum dum dum, tweed skirt!  This would be perf b/c I've been searching for something tan, something skirt, and something with pattern/texture/less plain yet classic.  Will ask seller following Qs: (1) pic of prada tag; (2) lining; (3) and if there's a size (to ensure measurements/fit).  Ahh, sooo want this . . . $30-40 max?

A -- 10/24/10: LOL - when it's in the title, and the pic comes first, it kind of ruins the "dum dum dum" hahahah.  Where will this hit on you?  I feel like would be good fall skirt w/brwn pointy stiletto boots and cozy sweater and/or fur vest.  Not too versatile, seasonwise, but you probably don't need it to be

T, 10/24/10: should hit slightly above the knee.  Max?

A -- 10/24/10: mmm...depends how much the Prada-ness means to you.  I'd say no more than $40, so let's see how your enthusiasm goes over the next few days.  I kinda wish it were a little bit darker.

T, 10/24/10: Aw, I like that it's lighter, actually.  Looks more clean and less dowdy/dated.

T, 10/29/10: Ended at 7 bids, $47.55.  A *little* more than I wanted, and seller never replied to my email.  Eh, I'll keep looking . . .

A -- 10/30/10: Yay I was close w/my $40 max!

Torn by Ronny Kobo "Juliet" Tweed Biker Jacket

Source: Shopbop

Size: L (last one left)
Price: $99 (sale - retail $330)

I've been wanting a Chanelish (but updated) tweed jacket, and this def fits the bil.  Tweed and pink offset by "biker"ish cut and silver hardware.  Unsure re:size, and also is this too TE for $100?

T, 10/29/10: I second everything you said!  Lurve the modern Chanel.  Can't be "too T/E" if it's Chanel-based, right?  Wish this were $50-$75 too, but I can't tell if ebay has skewed my view of a "rsbl" price.

Indikka Long "Waterfall" Cardigan

source: NM LastCall

Size: M
Price: $85 (sale - retail $245)
Material: Viscose/spandex

Soo...is there anything I want this isn't black or white?  Love the variegated lengths on this, esp since I always like to swish my clothing around because I'm basically 5 yrs old.  I envision many distracted hours spent braiding the fringe instead of paying attn to whatever I should be doing instead.  Not sure about the brand, looks like it's only at Neiman, so as usual wish it were closer to $50.

T, 10/29/10:  the model looks like she's trying to fly with that thing.  On the whole, it's not ugly though.  $50 sounds about right.

It's finally here!

My favorite holiday of the year has arrived, so I thought I'd post a little something to get us all in the mood. Here are a few favorites from Grandin Road and Martha.
