Donald J Pliner Boots

Price: $189 (sale)
Material: Leather w/rubber sole

Not exactly the perfectideal flat leather boots I am desperately in need of, but I have a feeling these will be more "practical" in the coming months, when rain/snow/sleet show up and I can no longer run around in shoes that end up soaking my feet w/icy water.  Rubber bottoms + slightly raised heel = warm, dry, happy feet, right?

T, 10/27/10: Very basic, kind of blah, nothing special.  In the same vein, very classic, looks useful, nothing wrong with it either -- and both colors are equally fine.  Not a bad price too.   Which color do you refer?

A -- 10/27/10: I dono which color, I'm torn on that too.  It's hard to spend $200 on something that I'm not all that excited about, even tho they would def be useful and are probably more "necessary" to my wardrobe than anything else I'm looking at.  I really cannot go thru another winter w/o real boots.  I feel like flat boots should be brown for some reason, but then for these specific ones, I kinda feel like the black looks better.  This is the most boring discussion ever huh?  No wonder we are doing it here rather than on gchat!

T, 10/27/10: LOL, this debate reminds me of Taryn by Taryn Rose boots I saw on sale at DSW for $200 also, I think.  Black, fit well, were comfy, and basically looked the same as this.  Price was good, but not good enough where I should run out and buy them, said nyrmie.  And yeah, after I got my Hunters, I didn't know how I went through my first winter w/o real boots . . . you don't really want to be wearing these in the rain/snow either.  Maybe you can consider rainboots instead?  That's diff and cheaper.
