So Saks actually doesn't have these in my size anymore, but they are available on other sites on sale right now as well, but more expensive than Saks.  I've realized that I really have to try on boots before I buy, from my few experiences trying them on these past few weeks.  But these look good, I may try to find them to try on somewhere...what do you think, worth it?  They come in black as well...

T, 12/2/2010:  Really want to like them, but don't.  Liked some of the other, cheaper boots you've shown me on ruelala or hautelook (don't remember which one) waaay more.  So even price aside, I wouldn't recommend . . . but if you really like them, I'd try to find them for $50 less?  That way 50% off . . .

A -- 12/20/10: They are now on sale on Piperlime as well -- $234.99 + 30% discount = ~$$170.00.  I know, you don't like them, but I really do!  Plus, now that I have black, I need brown boots, and these look rugged yet stylish which is what I envision brown boots to be.  Yenno, like "these make me look like I go hiking, but really you know there's no way I have ever set foot on a trail"?

T, 12/2010:  Yeah, even with the price drop (heheh, like that has anything to do with the appearance), I don't really like them.  I think you can find cole haan boots for under $150 (saks had a nice after xmas sale where I found some -- didn't end up buying, didn't need them).  In any case, piperlime has free shipping and returns, so I guess it can't hurt if you decide to try it out.

A -- 12/21/10: Jeez, so now these are on Ebay too, size 9.5 for $99.99 w/$12.00 shipping.  Zero bids so far, ends December 25th, 2010 at 11:00pm PST.  I know, you basically hate these, but man the price is so good!  And they are supposed to be soo comfortable bc it is cushioned w/Nike "Air" technology.  I guess I am mostly impressed by the huge gap in pricing on such a current item - I mean, it's still being sold on Piperlime and who knows what other sites/stores.  This is why I ALWAYS look on Ebay for everything I find attractive in stores/on Shopbop.  It's a pain but man it's just required now.
