Sorry for the excessive amnt of pictures here, but this is one of those things that surprised me w/how diff it looks in diff pics.  The first ones, obv shopbop (via some Ebay listing) looks all perfectly draped, and the middle ones (Piperlime) look perfectly silky, but then you look at the last couple, and realize that it's far rougher than it originally appeared, and falls/drapes possibly a little weirdly.  I've been seeing/sort of wanting this on Ebay for a while, but it's always been way too much for basically a tank (plus it's a lil sheer, so I'm not sure how wearable it is).  It is still too much on Ebay, but now on Piperlime w/the discount, I think it's a reasonable price.  There's one listing on Ebay for this but in a pale turquoise that's actually really pretty too, and $19.00 (w/one bid currently, buyitnow for $39.99, ending at 6:30pm PST on 12/20), but I'm relatively sure it will go for higher than the yellow on Piperlime.  Plus shipping is $4 for that one.  So yah.  Plus it is called the Golden Gate top!  I still wish it were under $20 though, so iono...

T, 12/20/10:  it doesn't look that pretty in the real/non-model pics . . . and yeah, it looks see through!  How are the shopbop model's nips not poking out?!  $23 isn't that bad of a price, but I'm "meh" toward this, at best.  The mesh/colors/netting/beading is a nice idea in theory, and looks good in the shopbop pics . . . but really not-so-good in the non-model pics.  But your "superpowah" is picturing things on ppl!  So if your spidey senses says it'll work on you, I can see why you'd want it.

Ahh the return of the slouchy sweater.  This one is slightly less so than previous ones, does that mean you will hate it less??  It just looks so cozy, and I love how it hangs/falls at the shoulder, gives it a kind of chill/badass vibe that I always like, since it usually requires a broader shoulder (which I have).

Always felt fp stuff was unnecessarily marked up, so starting bid ain't too shabby.  Never cared what kind of shirt dress I got, be it sleeveless, short sleeved, long sleeved.  I just want one, and after seeing the $20/$25/$30 shirt dresses on ebay in decent brands, I'd prefer to spend no more than $40.  Kinda like this -- buttons go all the way to the bottom, instead of stopping midway like a lot of others.  Color's not bad.  Length looks good, and while bust and waist worry me, maybe it's supposed to hang loose.  Not sure I'll bid, and if I do, I prob won't go higher than the starting, but it's def not bad.

A -- 11/20/10: I just don't care for it...I think it looks too schoolgirl.  I do like the buttons all the way down as well, but not in this style.  Maybe it's the material, not fluid enough?  Or bottom too flared?  It's weird, I can approve of individual parts (the color, the folds of the top half), but not the whole thing.

So I just made an "impulse buy" (notsomuch, really, since I've kept a lookout for fp gold sequin dress for so long . . . just feels weird not to mull over it for a week or more since first-laid-eyes to time-of-purchase).  Meaning, I had to scour ebay to see if there were any other deals on which I might've missed due to impulse buy.  Came across this -- it's pretty, girly, decent price, and I like.  Don't really need though, and again, don't really have a place to wear it.

A -- 11/15/10: Hmm...again, I like the back more than the front lol.  The paleness kinda washes out the model a lil, so I dono if it would have the same effect on you.  I'd say no more than $25.

Dear A, thank GOD you were online -- can't buy anything without running it past you!  We've both been obsessed with gold sequin dresses ever since H&M released their Roberto Cavalli collection in winter 2007 (as shown in your artfully constructed wishlist post).  Spent $60 buying/altering an Express tank about 2 yrs ago, with sequins spattered on the front, plain on the back . . . and I *still* hesitated in buying this (what a waste, btw, except my little sis ended up wearing it too, so at least it wasn't all for naught).  Maintained a continuous lookout for this dress for a decent price -- lowest I've seen it was for around the same price on hautelook, but never in an XS, and never in gold.  Same with outlet stores, stores in gen, etc.  Can't believe it was just there . . . seller listed it today, post already had 10 views, and I wasn't actively searching for this!

I am so excited for you - it has been so long since I felt so decisive about buying something, and it's not even me buying.  I'm so glad you finally got it, I am already thinking of all the diff ways to style it (dress by itself, dress backwards, as a skirt w/fuller top, dress subdued w/blk blazer for dinner, dress backwards w/the straps crisscrossed for a keyhole effect, can you tell I want you to wear it backwards??)
