This trend has me somewhat perplexed. At first I was a complete non-believer, but then I saw Jlo work her style magic outside the TRL studios, I quickly changed my opinion to “neutral.” Oh but soon thereafter Eve surfaced with these ultra high-waisted pair sending me right back into denim-induced anxiety. Now, having watched the jeans evolve and merge with other trends such as the wide-legged pant (see Jessica Alba and Ciara), I’m safely back in style bliss and even considering buying a pair of these controversial jeans. Watch this space.

Volume is still in this season. Think oversized jackets and coats, puffball skirts and chunky knits. In the spirit of layering, capes provide the ultimate cover-up and offer an edgy alternative to the conventional jacket. Formal coats are all good and well. They look great and instantly glam up an outfit, but a sista needs to keep warm. I’m not comfortable wearing layers upon layers like Jessica Alba (pictured above), so this winter I’m going to make like Letoya and invest in a huge fur-collared jacket that I can rock with my jeans and ugg boots (are we still wearing those?!) I remember how ugly scarves used to be back when I was a kid. In the eighties scarves were for practical purposes only, I had one that used to scratch me so bad I couldn’t wait to get it off. I think I actually hid it and pretended I lost it so that I wouldn’t have to deal with it. Flash forward 20 years and they’re perfect accessory for your winter wardrobe. The 2006 Teen Choice Awards took place last night and a lot of the big stars came out to play! Rihanna, Christina and the Jessica's looked fabulous as usual. I love both Nelly Furtado and Rihanna's dresses - very different! The boys opted for a more casual look, not too sure about Luda's sneakers, but overall everyone looks great... A-!

It's okay to dress down on the weekends, but that doesn't mean you have to walk around looking like death warmed up 'n' mobile! I got caught out once whan a 'friend' made an unannounced appearance at my door one lazy Sunday afternoon and you guessed it, I was looking less than my fabulous self ! :( Save yourself the embarrassing moments and pick a style that's comfortable yet stylish... It's seems like everyone and their mama is wearing white trousers or maybe it's just the summer heat?! I myself own three pairs, two of which are exactly the same (I loved them so much I had to buy two!) I think i'll be rocking my white linen pair for a wedding at the end of the month, my only task is finding what to wear on top. Maybe i'll make like Kelly (above) and try a deep chocolate brown color as opposed to wearing white from head to toe... Either way, you can't fail to look sophisticated in a pair of long white pants!

I've noticed a lot of celebs sporting these Victorian inspired, frilled shirts. I wasn't sure about them at first, but now i'm a believer! My favorite is Jessica Alba's (above) I especially love the brown leather belt she's wearing over it... I need to steal this style pronto!

P.S. I might not be able to post as much this week because i'm away, but I have my laptop so i'll try and a post every other day! :)

I really want a top in this style, I think the bow looks so classy. I'm going to look over the weekend for stores that carry this style - if anyone has any suggestions let me know!

Celebrities are still rocking the Miss Sixty 'Dublin' style jeans even though skinny jeans are all the rage. I have a pair but they're plain, that is they lack any pockets or detailing... I tried in vain to get the cargo style initially (pictured above) but couldn't find them so settled for the slight variation! What I love most about these pants is that I can wear them with pointy boots or flip flops, only problem is they are quite thick so wearing them in the summer can be uncomfortable.
