Prim 'n' Proper

Model Karolina Kurkova backstage at the Oscar de la Renta fashion show in one of his creations

Kristin Cavalleri, of Laguna Beach fame, attended the Betsey Johnson Fashion Show in New York wearing one of the designers dresses in February of this year

I love dressing up, unfortunately I haven't really had the opportunity to do so of late :( However, should an occasion arise i'll take inspiration from one of these lovely ladies who show us how real women dress. It's very 50's old school glamour, but brought up-to-date with modern cuts and strapless bustiers. As usual scroll up to see how you can achieve this look on a shoe-string budget!!

Get Shorty!!

Jennifer Aniston leaves the Ed Sullivan Theater after a taping of the "Late Show with David Letterman" May 24, 2006 in New York City – Jennifer loves wearing black and why not? It works! This outfit is would be perfect for a first date or cocktails with the girls!
Christina Aguilera in Soho New York Sat Jun 24, 2006 – These denim shorts are too cute and when teamed with heels take the look from daytime casual to nighttime fun.
Beyonce arrives at Nice Airport for Cannes Film Festival looking positively chic in these light shorts and sandals.
Model Karolina Kurkova at the VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards After-Party – Karolina was away ahead of the fashion pack when she wore these shorts in 2002!

I'm thinking about buying some cute shorts, but I need to hurry up and get them before summer ends! I love the look; it's classy and unique - I think shorts are more sophisticated than a skirt of the same length. I especially like how you can dress them up or down as demonstrated by the ladies above. Scroll up for where to buy similar shorts…
