Gallery 3 at Winter Street Studios Art Opening!

What? "Art Wrapped Up in Love" Art Opening at Winter Street Studio

When? February 12, 2011 from 2:00 until 5:00p.m.

Gallery 3 cordially invites the public to experience a fun and romantic Saturday afternoon exploring the multi-faceted meanings of lasting love at their latest art exhibition, “Art Wrapped Up In Love” - an artist’s celebration of Valentine’s Day and art inspired by love.

Flowers fade, chocolate disappears in the blink of an eye, but great art, like the greatest love, just might last forever.

Come meet Gallery 3’s new and guest artists, see the latest artworks by returning artists, enjoy free-ranging discussions and an exhibition of art that looks at the meanings of love, and talk and learn more about the artists’ techniques, inspirations, processes and meanings behind their art.

Chocolate and red wine will be served, and the artists will be available to discuss their work.

Featured Artists: Kathy Biddle, Cameron Cozac, Robert Derr, Geraldine Gill, Linda Hall, Paula Hawkins, Jackie Leavitt, and Terry Leavitt-Chavez.

Guest Artists: Fused Glass – Karen O’Conner. Jewelry – Wendy Bantle & Ann Westby.

On Saturday Gallery 3 will also formally kick off a new era as they welcome new Gallery owner and fellow artist, Terry Leavitt-Chavez, and bid a fond adieu to Robert Derr, who will be painting in Mexico and continue to be represented here in Houston at Gallery 3.

Come find the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day – great and affordable art and jewelry. Free gift-wrapping is available with your purchases.

Terry Leavitt-Chavez at Winter Street Studios

The Artists at Winter Street Studios invite the public to come by for OPEN STUDIOS on the second Saturday of every month. This is the largest group of fine artists in the Houston area. Visitors can chat up the artists, discuss technique, process, inspirations-you name it! All in an open house, chilled out environment.

On Saturday, May 9th Winter Street is featuring Terry Leavitt-Chavez, one of H.W.C.'s favorite local artists. In the last five years she has sold over 300 originals, received recognition from Houston's Glassell School of Art, and been featured in the Houston Chronicle. If you haven't seen any of her compelling abstract pieces, you should definitely go give them a gander.

Studios are open to the public, free of charge.
Saturday, May 9th, 2009 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m.

Terry Leavitt-Chavez at Gallery 3

Alright guys, I've got a fantastic Houston artist that you've got to check out this weekend. Her name is Terry Leavitt-Chavez, and her work is dynamite. For the past five years, she's had successful shows in some of the greatest Houston galleries, and she is already a well known name amongst Houston art gurus. She's originally from Chi-town, but has been a Houstonian for 13 years. My favorite thing about her is that she has an Old English Sheepdog named Prada, and Persian named Versace. Pet Lover+Fashion Lover=my new favorite person
You can see her exhibit Abstract Attractions this Saturday, April 4th from 5-9 at Gallery 3.
