Yet another longdesired item that I first saw on Shopbop (back in college, when the idea of paying $100 for something left me aghast, much less $600+). I know, it's like, why even bother "wearing" anything at all, you might as well just walk around naked for all the coverage this thing provides, but I can't help it, I love it! I will probably be one of those wrinkly old women clinging desperately to her youth by dressing horribly age-inappropriately, oblivious to the looks of disgust and pity that ppl will throw my way. Plus, doesn't the model in the first pic make it look *almost* classysexy, w/her pulled back hair and demure expression?!
Decent price, but shipping kinda ruins it.
T, 1/23/11: looks hot/good, but generally, I think if the top part of the dress is revealing, the bottom length should be longer, to balance it out. Giorgio understood this, and no one would ever accuse him of oversharing. It's a nice going out piece, but for what little fabric, it shouldn't be that much.
A -- 1/27/11: Sold for starting price. Thanks T for first telling me it "rides the trashy line" and that ppl may have *thoughts* of me if i wear it ("too...friendly?"), and then encouraging me to get it to recapture my youth. Why do I have the fashiontaste of a skanky overlysexed but really naive 17 yr old? (wait, is 17 too old now? When do the kids these days start getting overly sexed?? God I can almost feel the osteoporosis coming on.)
