Finally bought a pair of flat leather boots - these were from Bloomies, on sale already, plus an extra 15% discount for signing up for a Bloomies card. My friend liked them so much when I tried them on that she bought the same pair, in grey suede, which were really cute too, but much more impractical than straightup leather. I am superglad I stuck it out (I was thisclose to just sucking it up and resigning myself to having to pay $200ish for good boots) -- looks like my under $150 pricepoint was right! Am so happy I got to wear these before I left for warmer climes for a month too!
T, 12/17/10: Yes, very nice! Def like that you kept it closer to $100, and these look comfy and warm as hell.
